Simultaneous or consecutive?
Simultaneous interpretation is usually performed at conferences, seminars, lectures, forums and other big events. It requires a team of two interpreters and it involves the use of booths and equipment (microphones and headphones).
Consecutive interpretation is usually performed in smaller meetings, business negotiations, presentations, fairs and exhibitions, initial business contacts, where the interpreter sits next to the participants. It is performed taking notes of the original speech and subsequently relaying the information in the other language. Depending on the venue may or may not require the use of a microphone.
Contact me to discuss your event and language needs, let me help you find the solution that suits you best!
I am an Italian native speaker. I have lived and studied in the United States for almost 5 years, acquiring a near native level of English. I have lived and worked in Moscow for about 2 years, developing an advanced level of Russian.
I therefore perform interpreting services between Italian and English, Italian and Russian and English and Russian.
Costs and Fees
Interpreting fees are usually per hour, per half-day (4 hours) or per full-day (8 hours). They depend on the languages involved, the interpreting mode, complexity of the topic and length of the event. Contact me to discuss your interpreting needs and I can provide you with an accurate estimate for my services.
Professional Code of Ethics
I am a professional interpreter and I abide by the code of conduct set forth by many professional organizations in our field. I prepare extensively for every assignment, researching the terminology and context.
